Client’s Challenge
The client needs to generate a GUID for all their contacts in HubSpot.
Help! What’s a GUID?!
A GUID is a 128-bit text string which is a unique identifier. It’s generated using parameters such as timestamps, MAC addresses, etc. 🤓
Solution
Using Javascript (Node.js), our specialist HubSpot Team created code that generated a GUID using the ‘Create Date’ contact property, which acted as a timestamp.
Then leveraging Operations Hub, the team built a workflow that calls the custom code to generate the GUID and stores it in a custom property if the contact does not already have a GUID.
